Reading and Writing Workshop (TCRWP-Lucy Calkins)
School-wide, we are in our 5th year of implementing the Teachers College (Lucy Calkins) Reading and Writing Project Workshop framework for teaching literacy in both English and Spanish.

Bridges in Mathematics is the comprehensive and highly acclaimed math program that we have adopted and begun implementing in the ES this year after an extensive analysis of our students' needs and best practice in teaching mathematics.

Assessment for Learning
CNG faculty will continue this year to learn about and expand methods for assessment for learning; using our revised assessment protocols and school-wide 4-point grading scale, rubrics and data to reflect on student learning and practices; and working in Student Learning Teams in the areas of Literacy and Mathematics to positively affect student learning.
UP with Learning
“Up With Learning” will continue this year as well: small groups at a time, students visit the Principal to share and celebrate their evidence of personal excellence/achievement.
CWW, Condor Activites, Athletics, Talent Show, Hogar, etc.
We look forward to upcoming Classroom without Walls trips, Condor After-School Activities, Athletics, Talent Show, HOGAR visits, fundraising, Choir, Spirit Days, Parent-Teacher Conferences, Portfolio sharing, Sports Day & House Events: all opportunities to address our CNG Vision of Educating the mind, strengthening the body and developing character for leadership and service, in the world of today and tomorrow.
Elementary School Library Gets a Face Lift
Our library looks fantastic. We remodeled and now we have an incredibly colorful, modern space.
