Film Critique
This course allows high school students to learn the basic concepts, vocabulary, critical tools and methods used in the analysis and interpretation of meaning in film. We strive to teach students to be attentive and sensitive to the dynamics of image and sound by dealing with concepts such as narrative structure, genre, editing, composition within the frame, cinematography, sound, and sound image relations. The course will provide students with a basic foundation for further study of film.
