AP 2D Design

The courses in AP visual arts offer college level art instruction designed for serious art students who are interested in the practical experience of art. Students are expected to address different issues in art and actively engage in the production their original artwork. Each student is required to submit a portfolio for evaluation from the College Board  at the end of the school year.

In the Advanced Placement 2D Design Class students demonstrate mastery through any two-dimensional medium or process, such as graphic design, digital imaging, photography, collage, fabric design, weaving, fashion design, fashion illustration, painting and printmaking. The goal is to encourage our students to develop technical skills and familiarize themselves with the functions of visual elements as they create an individual portfolio of work for evaluation at the end of the course.
